STUDENT VISA IN THE UK
  • There are 2 student categories under tier 4- point-based systems. Tier general student visa- This category is for students that are coming to the UK for higher education. The applicant must be a minimum of 16 years old. Tier4 child student visa- This category is for children of age 4, and 15 years of age coming to the UK for education.
  • Reinstatement of 2- year post-study work visa- The UK government has done the reinstatement of 2- year post-study work visa for international students. These new immigration rules are valid for students who want to pursue their education in 2020-21.
  • Documents required for UK study visa- Complete student visa application form, letter of acceptance on the course- The education provider will provide the acceptance letter and visa letter. The visa letter is issued not more than six months before applying. The applications for old visa letters are rejected.
  • The visa letter does not guarantee that the application will be successful. Person applying must meet all the requirements of immigration rules.
  • Proof of funds- Students are required to show that they will be able to pay the course fees and living costs. The evidence of the amount required depends on if anyone is applying for child or adult education.
  • Process of UK student visa process- There are many steps to apply for a UK student visa. They are processed in three weeks. The primary step is to get qualified for the student visa. One must show that he/she has a confirmed place at university, school, or college or confirmation acceptance for studies. Also, they must show evidence of adequate funds.
  • Keep the documents ready and apply online. Students are required to register and create an account on the UK website. Pay the application fees and visit the visa application center on the date of appointment.
